Dr. Esther León is a Licensed Physical Therapist.  She graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2018, after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology & Nutrition Science in 2015 from Whittier College.  She has a special interest in working with rehabilitation of injuries, sports medicine, management of chronic pain, cardiopulmonary disease, neurological disorders, injury prevention, and geriatric-specific needs.

As a provider, Esther believes that healing is achieved when taking a whole-being perspective: body, mind, and spirit. She applies integrative interventions that resonate with her clients’ individual needs and intersectional backgrounds, by focusing on active listening, offering trauma-informed care, and making the PT experience a patient-centered, collaborative process. Esther takes an activities-based (e.g. dance, sport) and movement analysis approach to customize accessible treatment plans with little to no equipment needs. When you work with Esther, you could expect to to use dance or sport as part of your therapy to facilitate healing, and you may discover a new definition of what exercise can look like.

Aside from patient care, Esther has been an advocate for improving healthcare access and practice through a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.

In her free time, Esther enjoys paddle boarding, yoga, community theater, and cuddling her two cats, Phantom and Hamilton.
