Eva Hosseinion, LAc, MSOM, MD

Eva graduated from the classical Chinese medicine program at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland. However, her path to becoming a practitioner of Chinese medicine began in the Czech Republic, where she graduated from medical school. During post-graduate training in family medicine in the Portland area, she developed an interest in alternative approaches to health and healing.

Eva offers expertise in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and qigong. She enjoys treating a variety of conditions, including mental/emotional imbalances, insomnia, headaches, migraines, neck/back pain and other pain issues, infertility, menopause, PMS, colitis, IBS, autoimmune disease, asthma, allergies, and high blood pressure.

Eva has completed a certificate with Kiiko Matsumoto in the Kiiko Nagano Japanese acupuncture tradition. She regularly assists in teaching Kiiko tradition courses, with her mentor Monika Kobylecka LAc, to other acupuncturists in Portland. This tradition works on deeper levels to address complex problems and bring a more complete and lasting healing by way of a gentle needle application technique.

She also has an interest in treating children using Shonishin, a Japanese system of acupuncture developed specifically for pediatric patients, where no needles are needed.

Eva locally sources pure, clean, organic, laboratory tested, safe and powerful herbal formulas in the Classical Chinese Medicine tradition to complement acupuncture treatments.

Eva also integrates medical qigong into her practice. She studied Jinjing gong qigong in Portland and in China and wrote her thesis on medical qigong. She loves to teach patients how to heal themselves with custom-tailored qigong prescriptions.

Eva enjoys spending time in the nature with her husband Shay. She also enjoys learning new languages and salsa dancing.
